Download one of our pre-packaged Overland Adventure Routes and guide yourself! Go at your own pace, stop when you want to stop, see what you want to see, and make your own adventure! These routes all involve off-road driving and while it is possible to skip these roads we highly recommend that the trip not be attempted with less than two vehicles.

Each Overland Adventure Route includes written, turn-by-turn directions, a GPX track of the route for use in compatible GPS devices or apps, lodging options along the route (camping, hotels, and discreet camping locations are all provided), points of interest, recommended food stops, and more. Lakes Region Overland Adventure Route
Days Recommended: 2 days

Take a journey through some small rural towns in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Wind through woodlands, open pastures, rivers, lakes, and small towns as you make your way through the area. Enjoy local foods and check out Lake Winnipesaukee as you drive by. There is plenty of history to be had on this tour as well, with covered bridges and mills dating from the 1800’s. A majority of the first day will be spent on pavement and back roads while the second day is mostly trails.

White Mountains Overland Adventure Route
Days Recommended: 2 days

This two day adventure route explores some of New Hampshire’s awesome features, including a handful of covered bridges, waterfalls, short hikes, and plenty of scenic overlooks. There is so much to do in the White Mountain area of NH. We have done our best to include a lot of hidden gems and non-tourist areas in this route and I think we have succeeded. This trip was initially designed to be run in the fall to experience the foliage but it is equally as impressive in the spring. There will be some mild hiking involved with well maintained trails up to .5 miles in length. The first day is almost entirely pavement driving as you check out the view from the top of Mt. Washington via the Auto Road and hike into some waterfalls and scenic spots. The second day is almost entirely back roads and Class 6 roads as you make your way south. The views are endless and breathtaking, have your camera ready!

Winter Waterfall Overland Adventure Route
Days Recommended: 2 days

The days will be cold and the nights even colder! Strap on your snowshoes, brave the winter weather, and experience New Hampshire’s best waterfalls in a whole new way. The cascades of ice and the snow covered features make for some impressive sights. Drive the famous Kancamagus highway and see the incredible winter landscapes. There will be no off-road driving but be prepared with a suitable 4×4 vehicle and recovery gear. You may have to break through a snowbank or two and you never know what mother nature will supply. There will be hiking up to 1.5 miles and trail conditions can vary greatly due to weather. The trip is a winter trip and as such, includes no trails. Check back soon for an extended version of this route to be run in the spring/summer/fall.
