2: You must have a working/charged FRS radio (walkie talkie). These are available pretty much anywhere. From Ninja Turtles walkie talkies for kids to hunting radios, they are all pretty much the same. Walmart has some “Frozen” themed ones for $20/pair. Dicks Sporting Goods has plenty. Amazon has these Midland FRS radios (pair) which are really popular for $23.

Join us for the ExploringNH Offroading 102 course. This course consists of a short classroom session as well as guided hands-on trail time.We dive into more advanced driving techniques, recovery methods and other topics which will elevate your offroad driving experience. We want you to be comfortable in your own vehicle and know that you can operate it to its full potential. This course provides the necessary foundation for more advanced courses to further hone your skills. We also cover safety and recovery gear that you should carry to be safe while on the trails! Below is a short list of some of the concepts we will discuss during this course:
– How to handle varying terrain and advanced obstacles
– Getting out of sticky situations
– Basic offroad navigation – getting to your destination
– Repairing your vehicle on the trail or at camp
– Hands-on trail time with trainers
Recovery Topics Include:

PreReq: Have taken ENH Recovery 101 OR have experience with vehicle recoveries. Must have a 4wd vehicle with 4-low, ENH equipment list. A properly mounted winch and winching gear is strongly recommended for this training since most of the course is winching.
Join us for the ExploringNH Introduction to Recovery 102 course. This course consists of a classroom session as well as guided hands-on trail time. You will learn about more advanced recovery tools and how to safely use them. In this course, we dive into winch usage, multi-line pulls, and complex recovery scenarios. This course lays the groundwork for future advanced recovery courses. Be prepared for your next offroad journey and don’t be caught off guard in a sticky situation!
